3 Years

Last year I posted a bunch of more recent pics that were on my computer. This year I dug out a few old favorites and scanned them in. Enjoy!
(Emma went to show the picture below to Kenna and she swore little me was Emma...)

Another One Bites the Dust

My toothless wonder is now minus another one... And it wasn't even the loosest! The bottom left should have been the next to go.

Ian took the girls up to Utah on Thursday so he could translate for General Conference and they could visit their grandparents, aunt, and uncle who also went to Utah for conference. I had just flown back from a long and draining weekend in Daytona 56 hours earlier and wasn't up for another long trip, so David and I just stayed home and played.

On their last night in Utah(tonight) the girls were going to sleep and fighting over a blanket when Em's tooth got pulled out in the midst of the great blanket war. I'm sure I'll be posting pics of two more holes in her mouth in the coming weeks.

Here's a convo David and I had the other day:

David: Mommy...(rather dramatically) Kenna did dat.(He holds up a nightlight in the bathroom that apparently he thinks Mckenna unplugged)
Me: Oh yeah?
David: Mommy...Dat's a no-no! Kenna did a NO-NO!
Me: She did?
David: Yeah. Dat's a no-no, Mommy. I put it back.
Me: OK put it back.
David: OK...(pause while he tries to plug it back in...I know I'm terrible for letting him play with pluggy stuff) Aw MAN! I can't. Mommy do it.

Is he not the most entertaining 2 year old ever? Today I asked him if he wanted some cookies. So I got up and started making them. When he realized I had to make them and wasn't just going to give him one right away he kept telling me that I was doing a "no-no." And every time I added a new ingredient or something from a drawer he'd tell me it was a no-no all over again.

This little mini-vaycay of ours has made me realize what a demanding little boy we have. He seriously thinks he runs the show(and very often does). I guess it's been nice to have the girls gone so I can devote my attention to him and hopefully whip him back into shape! Lucky he's such a sweet little cutie. Friday after my shower he followed me around the bathroom and closet, asking every 15 seconds, "What doin, Mom?" And earlier today when he could tell I was getting annoyed at his climbing all over me when I was trying to watch conference he said, "Mommy hug." And gave me the best hug ever. I love that boy!
